About the Stay Mentally Healthy Campaign
Stay Mentally Healthy with the SEJ Process to Reach Your Full Potential
The Stay Mentally Healthy campaign calls for everyone to reach their full potential by learning the skills required to stay mentally healthy. Creating a paradigm shift in mental health treatment and provision, moving away from reactive intervention to proactive prevention.
Our campaign is solution focused. Therefore not only do we actively seek to bring awareness to the problems with the current mental health provision, we also have a solution through the accredited, evidence-based Self Empowerment Journey (SEJ) Process. A simple yet effective tool to ‘stay mentally healthy' with the ultimate goal of empowering everyone to ‘reach their full potential’.
Collaborating to stay mentally healthy
1
Education
The whole setting community: students, educators, staff and families use the same self-help tool, the SEJ Process, to help themselves and each other to stay mentally healthy and reach their full potential career.
2
Workplace
Businesses can learn the SEJ Process and sponsor educational settings as their CSR. To educate young people on how to stay mentally healthy and reach their full potential prior to transitioning into the workplace.
3
Individuals
Individuals can learn the SEJ Process at one of our events, the Hub, or via their workplace, JobCentre, or educational setting providing a collaborative and holistic approach to positive mental health provision.
Why a Self Empowerment Process is important
Education
One third of students report feeling depressed or lonely while nearly half of students with a mental health condition do not disclose it to their universities. (i)
Workplace
Research indicates that 12.7% of all sickness absence days in the UK can be attributed to mental health conditions, with stress among them. (RedCross) (ii)
Individuals
Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. (Mind) (iii)
