About the Stay Mentally Health (SMH) Initiative
What is the 'Stay Mentally Healthy' (SMH) initiative?
Stay Mentally Healthy (SMH) is an initiative that is open to anyone struggling with their mental health and on a low income. Developed through Mary's desire to ensure accessible service provision for all, to end mental health suffering and share the knowledge that we all have the tools within us to help ourselves - we just need to know how.
All the SMH services and events are designed to give you the skills to 'stay mentally healthy' and reach your full and true potential, whilst also aiding in the recovery of mild to moderate mental health problems.
Our goal is to provide quicker access to self-help services to support individuals currently struggling with their mental health, on a low income, experiencing long wait times or do not meet the criteria to access NHS therapy services. Read Julie's story, having tried traditional therapy but with no end to the daily struggle and suffering she'd given up all hope, a story Mary (founder of the SEJ and SMH) hears all too often.
What services are included in the SMH initiative?
The Stay Mentally Healthy initiative is about making life-changing SEJ training and services accessible to everyone. Whenever you see our SMH logo on our services and events page it signifies an opportunity for you to apply for SEJ services and events provided by our trusted independent service providers at a reduced fee.
Services include: SEJ one-on-one appointments, workshops, courses and events. Our approach now undertaken through the initiative allows you the freedom to not only access more services and events, but also choose an independent service provider that best fits your needs.
In addition to SEJ services we host a variety of holistic events and services tailored specifically for the Stay Mentally Healthy community at the SEJ Wellbeing Centre. We invite you to explore these additional opportunities to empower your mental health and wellbeing.
Inclusion and accessibility
To ensure inclusion and accessibility you can self-refer to all our services. We also offer our services both online and in person through our growing network of consultants and trainers, and of course reduced rate and pro bono services for anyone on a low income and struggling with their mental health.
If you would like to access our reduced fee services through this initiative we encourage you to apply today.
If you have any questions regarding the initiative or the application process for low cost or pro bono services, please do not hesitate to reach out.
