Stay Mentally Healthy (SMH) Initiative
Stay Mentally Healthy (SMH) is an initiative that is open to everyone. Designed to give you the skills to 'stay mentally healthy' and reach your full and true potential, whilst also aiding in the recovery of mild to moderate mental health issues.
Our goal is to provide quicker access to self-help services for individuals facing mild to moderate mental health challenges. We aim to support those currently experiencing long wait times or those who do not meet the criteria to access NHS services.
To ensure inclusion and accessibility you can self-refer to all our services. We offer partially or fully funded services to those on a low income. We also offer our services both online and in person.
Wherever you see the Stay Mentally Healthy logo you are able to apply for a funded service or event via the Self Empowerment Foundation.
Additionally, we host events and services specifically aimed at the Stay Mentally Healthy community, visit our events and services page to find out more.

Retrain, Restart, Reinvent (3R's) Initiative
This life-changing initiative is open to anyone who's mastered the SEJ Process personally, currently on a low income and unemployed, and is eager to become an SEJ Consultant or SEJ Trainer!
This is your chance to use your unique lived experience to make a difference for others. This is an opportunity for anyone seeking a career change while giving back to their local and wider community.
We're especially encouraging those who face personal or occupational barriers to employment to apply, as well as anyone with lived experience who wants to support others in a professional setting.
Complete the application form to express your interest.
The 'Pay It Forward' Initiative
The pay-it-forward initiative encourages qualified SEJ Consultants and Trainers to help others through their own lived experience and professional service. The recipient, who used the SEJ services to change their own life, is encouraged to extend the kindness to someone else, creating a positive chain of generosity and kindness that spreads throughout the community.
All qualified SEJ Consultants and Trainers are actively encouraged to give some of their time for free, volunteering as part of the Stay Mentally Healthy initiative. An SEJ Consultant or Trainer can give as many hours as they are able to, and work either online or in-person .

Business & Education Working Together Initiative
We would love to hear from any businesses with regard to our 'Business & Education Working Together' initiative, which empowers local businesses to cultivate a mentally healthy workforce for the future.
By sponsoring a local educational institution, your organisation would enable them to receive our 'Stay Mentally Healthy' services. This investment allows businesses to fulfill their corporate social responsibility while equipping young individuals with the skills needed to maintain mental wellbeing before entering the workforce.
In recognition of your support, participating businesses will receive:
-
A certificate to be displayed at both the educational institution and your own organisation.
-
Access to discounted and tailored services and training for your own business.
Education - Self Empowerment Initiative
'Creating a paradigm shift moving from reactive intervention to proactive, inclusive, self-help prevention.'
We have extensive research and experience in supporting educational settings in creating and establishing a paradigm shift in how they support their community: students, staff, educators, and families with their mental wellbeing through the SEJ Process training and services. Working holistically, inclusively and collaboratively with a move from reactive intervention to proactive self-help prevention enabling the whole community to stay mentally healthy and reach their full potential.
We have research data to validate the SEJ Process's impact in education. You can see more information on our research page.
If you are interested in the various services we can offer your educational setting, including integrating the SEJ Process into the curriculum, or opening your own onsite Self Empowerment Hub, geared towards guided self-help and a whole setting approach to mental wellbeing, please contact us.
