Kingston Hub

Hello, my name is Mariko, I am a senior lecturer at the university and pastoral tutor. I have been a keen practitioner of the SEJ Process and have experienced the benefits both personally and professionally over the last 16 years. As a scientist, I have also proved the impact of integrating the SEJ Process into the curriculum as a transferrable life skill for university students. I am therefore pleased to welcome you to our vibrant community-focused Stay Mentally Healthy Hub here at Kingston University.

The Hub is your go-to resource for an empowering array of training events and services. You can think of the Hub as your local gym for mental wellbeing, where you can acquire skills for maintaining positive mental health or find support and resources for recovery.

Our Kingston Hub is the perfect first point of contact for anyone (students, staff and educators) eager to empower their mental health, and you do not need a referral from the professional services at Kingston, elsewhere, or from your Personal Tutor to access the services available. If required, as a qualified Consultants I am on hand to support you in creating a personalised Stay Mentally Healthy Plan during the free Drop-in or you can simply self-register for any service.

We offer accessible and inclusive mental health services right in your setting, empowering you with the skills to thrive and unlock your full potential. Our Hub offers unique services that are either free, pay what you want (PWYW), or require a small payment, (often because they are services provided by external sources), clearly marked with a 'P' for your convenience.

To find out more about the services on offer please email me: mkishi@kingston.ac.uk or go to our Facebook page.

I look forward to meeting you. Mariko.
